The Bureau hosts meetings and events all over campus at UT Austin. Some of our events are hybrid. We try to maintain a regular meeting place in WCP 4.120.

Open Lab Hours:

Open M-F from 9am-4pm except when classes and seminars are being held. Schedule changes each semester.

The room may be locked. To get a key, contact Craig Campbell or someone in the main Anthropology office.

AfterSchool 2025 Fall Meetings

AfterSchool is back in session. We will be meeting at Alienated Majesty bookstore. Our first meeting will be on August 28th at 5:30pm. This is a planning session for the 2025/26 ex-Academic Year. In conjunction with the Bureau for Experimental Ethnography’s focus on expanded publishing, we’ll be looking at Marc Fischer’s zine, “Why Self-Publish Under Fascism?” This short eight page zine will be a great opening. Copies of the zine will be available at Alienated Majesty bookstore (you can also order them directly from half-letter press).

We currently have AfterSchool meetings planned for August 28, September 25, and October 23rd.

As always, AfterSchool is a free and open space. We welcome everyone. We are open to hear all ideas, plans, goals, and projects. We are loosely organized by the Bureau for Experimental Ethnography but seek to foster a collective (or at least collaborative) organizational model.
